Technical Writer

Job Overview:

Protelion is a fast growing cyber security company providing data encryption solutions to the company’s diverse set of global customers. We are looking for a talented Technical Writer to join our team. Appointees are expected to create clear and concise technical documentation explaining how our solutions work and how our customers can implement them.

Key Responsibilities:

• Writing and revising technical documentation (user’s and administrator’s guides, help manuals) in adherence to company brand standards in Russian and English.
• Writing and revising the company product usage guidelines.
• Ensuring documentation is accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
• Translating documentation into English and German.
• Interviewing developers, analysts, experts, testers, and project managers to ensure documentations meets business requirements and technical specifications.
• Collaborating with your teammates and sharing best practices with colleagues.

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Fluent in Russian and English, both written and spoken
• Ability to learn technical concepts quickly and convey them in a simple, reader-friendly language.

Self-directed and ready to work independently, strong time management skills

• Team-oriented mindset.
• Adaptability to changing priorities.
• Proven experience as a Technical Writer (in Russian and English) or similar role.
• Experience with version control, work authorization, and bug-tracking systems.
• Strong knowledge of authoring tools and productivity software.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Passion for good writing style, and unparalleled attention to detail.
• Will be a plus: exposure to information technologies and cybersecurity.
• Knowledge of languages:
  • Russian: at least B2
  • English: at least B2 (Upper-Intermediate, above average)
  • Will be a plus: German, at least A2
